Honda Civic records over 2,500 bookings in two weeks

New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) Honda's stylish model 'Civic' has picked up a strong response from the market with over 2,500 cars booked in the first fortnight, much ahead of its sales target of 1,000 units per month.

''Over 2,500 units of Civic have been booked since we launched the model in the country on July 4,'' Honda Siel Cars India Ltd spokesperson Anita Sharma told UNI today.

The company targets to sell 1,000 units of Honda Civic per month, which could increase after analysing the market's response, she said.

''It is a very good response and we are positive about the popularity of Civic in the Indian market,'' Ms Sharma said.

Honda 'Civic' is priced at Rs 10.75 lakh for its Manual variant while Rs 11.45 lakh for Automatic (ex-showroom price Delhi).

The car is touted to give a mileage of 10.5 to 11 km per litre.
