HIV-infected man strangulates son

Mumbai, July 17 (UNI) A man was detained by police in Nagpada area here for allegedly strangulating his eight-year-old son.

According to police, on the July 15 Babu Bairully (30), an AIDS-infected person, first attacked his wife Jyoti over an argument pertaining to the care of their son - Akash, in the event of Babu's death.

Later, he strangulated Akash with a cloth rope, police said.

A case of murder has been registered against Babu and further investigations are on in the matter.
