GNFC Q1 net falls 23.35 pc to Rs 47.05 cr

Mumbai, July 17 (UNI) Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company (GNFC) has posted 23.35 per cent decline in the net profit to Rs 47.05 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 61.39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

A company's release issued here today said its total income (net of excise) has increased by 23.12 per cent to Rs 436.18 crore for Q1 FY 06-07 from Rs 354.25 crore in Q1 FY 05-06.

GNFC incorporated in 1976, is a joint-sector company promoted by the Gujarat Government and Gujarat State Fertilisers company. It has its presence in fertilizer business, industrial chemical business and information technology.
