GCIC condemns attack on church; demands action
Bangalore, July 17 (UNI) The Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC) today condemned the attack on the Marthoma church at Shivanapura village on the city suburbs on July 15 and urged Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to rein in the ''Hindutva militants'' and take visible action to protect the lives and property of Christians.
The assailants had locked up the priest and his family before causing extensive damage to the church, GCIC President Sajan K George said in a statement here.
He warned the State Government that if suitable action was not taken immediately, the organisation would be forced to stage agitations against the dispensation's ''indifferent'' attitude.
