Gail Q1 FY07 net profit up by 22%

New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) Gas Authority of India (GAIL) today posted a 22 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 at Rs 592 crore as agianst RS 483 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The total income has risen 30.92 per cent from Rs 3674.14 crore in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 4810.40 crore for Q1 FY 06-07.
