Eight pilgrims died in road accident
Siwan, Bihar Jul 17 (UNI) Altogether eight pilgrims were killed when a bus in which they were travelling met an accident on the National Highway 85, near Alaurisarsar village in the district late last night.
Police today said five people, who were also injured in the mishap, had been admitted to a local hospital.
The victims were returning home after paying homage to famous Lord Shiva temple, known as Babadham.
The deceased were the residents of Kataya police station area in Bihar's Gopalganj district.
The driver and cleaner of the bus managed to escape after the accident.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Thousands of dovotees from different parts of the country visit the temple in the auspicious month of Srawan.
