Eight pilgrims die in road accident

Siwan, Bihar July 17 (UNI) Eight pilgrims were killed, when a bus met with an accident on National Highway 85, near Alaurisarsar village in the district, police said today.

Police said five people, who were injured in the accident late last night, had been admitted to a local hospital.

The victims were returning home after paying homage at the famous Lord Shiva temple, known as Babadham when the driver lost control over the vehicle.

The deceased were the residents of Kataya police station area in Bihar's Gopalganj district.

The driver and cleaner of the bus managed to escape after the accident.
