DHL strengthens network infrastructure in South India

Mumbai, July 17 (UNI) DHL, a logistic company, has enhanced its network infrastructure in South India with the inauguration of its modified DHL Service Centre in Bangalore.

The 21,000 sq.ft facility will handle over 3,000 inbound and outbound shipments a day, weighing more than 25 tonnes and will monitor 23 routes across South India. South India and Bangalore are considered key areas of growth for DHL, a DHL release issued here today said.

The Bangalore service centre is DHL's latest infrastructure investment in addition to the customs courier express clearance facility located at Bangalore Air cargo complex opened in January 2006.

It will house DHL's credit, sales and customer Service/e-Com teams.

It will also serve as an important checkpoint in terms of operations for weighing, sectional dispatch and delivery management of a wide range of packages.

The Bangalore service centre is equipped with cutting edge technology, including all-round CCTV monitoring for enhanced safety and security among other services.
