Congress for probe into Khurana's allegation

New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) The Congress today said revelations made by BJP leaders and former BJP leaders need to be investigated if these involve national interest.

"Certainly we need to investigate all the revelations if those affect national interest," Congress Spokesman Satyavrat Chaturvedi said talking to media persons here.

Mr Chaturvedi was reacting to the letter addressed to the Prime Minister by former BJP leader Madan Lal Khurana seeking an investigation into allegations made by him against Leader of the Opposition L K Advani.

The Congress Spokesman said BJP leaders were coming out every day with revealing stories of some kind or the other.Those affecting national interest certainly needed to be investigated.

Asked about intelligence failure in anticipating Mumbai blasts, Mr Chaturvedi said the Government was going into the matter."It is for the Government to take appropriate action."He decried the attempt to politicise the Mumbai blasts and said it was despicable.

Replying to a question as to why action was not being taken against former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal's son, Bishnoi, despite the Congress High Command having received reply to the show cause notice served to him, Mr Chaturvedi said action would be taken at an appropriate time after receiving a report to this effect from the PCC.
