Charges framed in Da case against RJD MP

Patna, July 17 (UNI) The Special CBI court today framed charges against RJD MP R K Rana and his wife Naina Rana in connection with Disproportionate Asset (DA) case, an off-shoot of the multi crore rupee fodder scam.

Special CBI judge Muni Lal Paswan framed the charges against the couple.

Mr Rana had been charged with amassing wealth to the tune of about Rs three crore between April 1, 1990 to November 30, 1994 and April 1, 1995 to September 30, 1996, disproportionate to all of his known sources of income.

Mr Rana's wife Naina Rana had been charged with abetting her husband in amassing the wealth.

Mr Rana was one of the prime accused of the fodder scam and had toured jail on earlier occasion in this connection.
