Buddhadeb for sub-plan for minority community
Kolkata, July 17 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today pitched for a sub-plan for development of the minority community during his observation on the Draft Approach Paper of Planning Commission on the 11th five year plan.
The Chief Minister called for the sub-plan for the minority community in the lines of the sub-plans for the scheduled castes and tribals.
Mr Bhattacharjee also stressed on land reforms for agricultural growth.
He also pointed out at generation of more employment instead of the process of increasing productivity in a particular sector.
State Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta told newsmen here that the state also emphasised on improvement of irrigation, drainage and distribution of agri-products.
Mr Dasgupta said the state had also called for increased share of service tax from the present level of 30 per cent.
