Blast at Afghan office, some casualties - witness

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, July 17 (Reuters) An explosion in a government building today in Afghanistan's southern province of Helmand caused some casualties, witnesses said.

The blast was in a government building opposite police headquarters in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand, the scene of rising attacks by Taliban guerrillas and operations by US-led coalition forces in recent weeks.
