BJP Minority Morcha demands supension of UP minister Azam Khan
Kanpur, July 17 (UNI) BJP's Minority Morcha today demanded the Uttar Pradesh governor T V Rajeshwar to suspend state cabinet minister Mohd Azam Khan and his prosecution under sedition charges.
Morcha's national president Tanvir Ahmad Usmani said Mr Khan had recently demanded that the western region of Uttar Pradesh be made as 'Muslim Pradesh' rather than 'Harit Pradesh'.
Mr Usmani termed the state minister's statement as anti-national.
He also charged Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav with protecting Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) for the sake of vote bank.
The BJP leader further blamed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre for not curbing terrorism in the country.
