Bangladeshi held by GRP in West Bengal
Ranaghat, July 17 (UNI) A Bangladeshi was held by the GRP at Ranaghat station in Nadia district today for entering India illegally.
Police said the man hailed from Goalia village in Jessore district of Bangladesh. He entered the country through Bhomra in North 24 Parganas district yesterday and was trying to board a train for Kolkata today.
He told the police that he had come to the country by paying Rs 500 to a man in Bhomra and wanted to go to Rajasthan to find work.
The man would be produced tomorrow in Ranaghat sub-divisional court.
