All DCs in Haryana will get mobile phone faclity
Chandigarh, July 17: The Haryana Government has decided to provide mobile phone facility to all Deputy Commissioners, subject to a ceiling of Rs 2500 per month calculated on monthly basis.
While stating this here yesterday, an official spokesman said these mobile phones would be issued by the respective district offices. The concerned officer could purchase a handset of his choice, subject upto a limit of Rs 6000. In case, any officer purchases a handset exceeding this limit, he would have to pay the excess amount out of his pocket.
He clarified that one officer would be entitled to only one mobile phone irrespective of the number of administrative charges he holds. Also, the concerned officer would be responsible for the loss or repair of the mobile phone purchased by him. The life of the mobile phone has been fixed at 24 months from the date of purchase.
In case, the officer retired or was posted out of the district, he should have to leave the mobile phone in the concerned office. Further, if an officer was transferred from one district to another he would have to leave the handset or connection in the district, he added.
