We are not surprised if talks stop with Pak: Geelani
Srinagar, July 16: The breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani today said it would not be surprised if India stops dialgoue process with Pakistan.
Reacting to Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran's statement on the secretary level talks with Pakistan, the spokesman said, ''we are not at all surprised by the Indian move.'' ''We knew this will happen one day as India was never sincere to have peace with Pakistan,'' he alleged.
He said what has happened in Mumbai was inhuman act done by those who have no respect for any religion. He added besides the separatist leadership in Kashmir, Pakistan too have condemned the blasts in which 200 innocent lives were lost and hundreds were wounded.
''We cannot say who was behind these blasts,'' he said but added that one thing is clear that they can never be friends of peace loving people of the sub-continent.
