Qaeda training militants for attacks in Kashmir
New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Al Qaeda is training Kashmiri militants to undertake terrorist attacks in the valley, according to a document available with UNI.
The document, a letter written by one Mian Zulfiqar Adil Rehmani on the letterhead of 'Harkat-Ul-Jehad-El-Islami' (Mujahideen-e-Markaz Irshad) to one Haji Enayatur Rehman, undergoing training under the 'Amir', asks him to consider himself fortunate for being under the 'Amir.' The letter, dated March 19, 2006, and written in Urdu, says that he (the trainee) is lucky that he is fighting for Islam's supremacy and that he is folowing the orders of the 'Amir'.
Following the orders of the 'Amir means that he is following the orders of Allah, the letter says.
The letterhead which has the name of the organisation written in english on the left side with the picture of a gun in the background, has the name written on the right in urdu language with some grandes in the background.
The letter ends with a couplet exhorting the trainee to strive and not compromise until the objective is achieved.
Another document lists arms and ammunition including AK rifles and Kalashnikov's. The list of the arms, written on plain paper, however, does not indicate anything except the names and number of the weapons. It also does not indicate whether the weapons were to be delivered or procured. However, tick marks have been made against some of the entries.
