Police nabs hoax caller
New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) The Delhi Police has nabbed a person for making hoax calls to the police informing that bombs had been planted at Akshardham temple, Chandni Chowk and PVR Plaza, Delhi on the night of July 14.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Delhi) Madhup Tewari said the police arrested Mohd Shadab from Welcome Colony of Seelampur for making hoax calls to the police control room (PCR) using a lost mobile phone.
On July 14, at 0020 hrs Shadab had made the calls to the PCR to play mischief.
The police had combed the areas after receiving the calls, said Mr Tewari.
After thorough investigation, the police nabbed Shadab from his house.
Shadab said he had found the mobile phone from a street in Welcome Colony.
He is a native of Budaun in Uttar Pradesh and works with an export firm as a computer hardware technician.
