Nitish government fails on all fronts: Lalu

Hajipur, Bihar, Jul 16 (UNI) Lambasting the Nitish Kumar government for making ''tall promises to befool'' the people of the state, RJD president and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today alleged it had failed on all fronts.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Prasad said the NDA government had taken the people of Bihar for a ride in the name of good governance and prices of the essentials in the state were rising due to hoarding and black marketing.

No stringent action had been taken by the present dispensation to discourage hoardings and black marketing which could arrest the rising prices of basic essentials, he stated.

'' It seems that the state government believes in feeding the poor with lollipop slogans, '' he added.

Mr Prasad charged the state government with losing control over bureaucrats and was dependent on them for vision and development of the state. The NDA managed to win the Assembly election by the ''tall promises'' which were proving to be mere political gimmicks'' with the passage of time, he said.
