Nine killed in road mishap

Nagpur, July 16 (UNI) Nine youths, travelling in a Toyota Qualis, were killed when their vehicle collided with a truck near Kalamb in Yavatmal district in Vidarbha, police sources said here.

The youths, from Ralegaon, were on a visit to a motel near Kalamb on Friday to celebrate the birthday of one of their friends. Their vehicle met with an accident when they were returning back to their village.

The youths were trapped in the mangled remains of the vehicle and had to be extricated after cutting the chasis of the vehicle.

However, five of them died on the spot while the other four succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital.
