MCX COMDEX up 41.33 points
Mumbai, July 16 (UNI) The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) COMDEX closed at 2353.04 up by 41.33 points (1.76 per cent), during the week ended July 13.
The recorded total weekly turnover was Rs 42,556.66 crore, according to a MCX weekly report.
The MCX metal index closed at 2528.25 up by 17.39 points (0.69 per cent), while energy index closed at 2941.11 up by 80.07 points (2.72 per cent) and agri index closed at 1589.70 up by 26.54 points (1.67 per cent).
All contracts of MCX gold were registered at a turnover of Rs 22,669.69 crore, while silver recorded a turnover of Rs 10,396.05 crore. The outstanding open interest for all contracts of gold was 8,303 kg and the total volume recorded was 2,36,044 kg. The outstanding position for all MCX silver contracts for the week was 1,72,250 kg and the total volume recorded was 58,64,440 kg.
In the metal segment, all MCX copper contracts registered a turnover of Rs 4,675.24 crore with open interest of 6,005 ton and recorded total volume of 1,27,049 ton, while all MCX zinc contracts recorded a turnover of Rs 899.39 crore with open interest of 3,515 tons and recorded 55,500 tons as total volume.
Following are the major commodities on the MCX : mentha oil contracts registered a turnover of Rs 1,277.50 crore with open interest of 25,49,520 kg and total volume recorded was 2,24,08,920 kg, while refined soy oil contracts with open interest of 32,460 tons registered a turnover of Rs 489.34 crore and total volume recorded was 1,17,700 tons. Potato contracts registered a turnover of Rs 167.34 crore with open interest of 5,30,500 ton and total volume recorded was 60,21,500 tons.
