Kanchi seers offer darshan to devotees at Mutt

Kancheepuram, Jul 16: Nearly two years after the dramatic arrest in the Sankaraman Murder Case, Kanchi Seers Jayendra and Vijayendra Saraswati today offered darshan to the devotees at the Sankara Mutt.

The entire mutt wore a festive look with devotees from across the country thronging for a darshan of the seers who are here to observe the 'Chatumasya Vrat.' The seers blessed the devotees on the occasion.

In 2004, the seers were arraigned in a case relating to the Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple Manager Sankararaman leading to their arrest.

They are currently on bail in the case. They had returned to the Mutt last week for observing the 'vrat.'
