Jyoti Ltd secures Rs 255 cr order from HCC-NCC JV

New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Gujarat-based Jyoti Ltd has announced that it has bagged a Rs 255 crore from the joint venture of Hindustan Construction Company and Nagarjuna Construction Company (HCC-NCC JV) for commissioning of 14 large pumps for Godavari Lift Irrigation Scheme- Phase II.

The recently-bagged project to be executed by September, 2007, involves design, manufacture, supply, erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the 14 pumps.

On being completed, the project will provide immediate relief to drought prone areas of Warangal District in Andhra Pradesh.

As per the agreement, Jyoti Ltd will be responsible for lifting of water from the river Godavari near Gangaram Village to Bommakur in the state through seven pumping stations.

The project also envisages supply of 1,210 million litres per day water to irrigate 2.85 lakh acres of drought prone areas of Jangaon, Ghanpur and Cherial of Warangal district.

The company has entered into technical collaboration with SIGMA Group, CKD Blansko Engineering and CKD Nove Energo of Czech Republic and formed a consortium for executing this as well as future large irrigation projects.
