Japan PM: U N N Korea resolution a ''strong message''
ST PETERSBURG, Russia, July 16 (Reuters) The U N Security Council resolution on North Korea sends a ''strong message'' to Pyongyang about its missile launches, Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said today, according to officials.
The Japan-initiated resolution, which was passed unanimously yesterday, imposes weapons-related sanctions on Pyongyang.
Koizumi made the remarks in a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the Group of Eight advanced nations summit.
