Five-member armed gang escapes with Rs 1.30 lakh cash

Davanagere, July 16 (UNI) A five-member armed dacoity gang escaped with booty worth Rs 1.30 lakh after injuring a pedestrian here.

According to police, the gang, in the age group of 25-30 year and conversing in local language, attacked Raju with lethal weapons and escaped with the booty. Raju, who was working as a Clerk in a private firm, was on his way to hand over the cash collected to his boss when the incident took place.

The injured was admitted to district hospital.
