Commodore Ashokan new DG of Naval Academy Project

Kochi, July 16 (UNI) Commodore T K Ashokan has taken over as the Director General (DG) of the Naval Academy (NAVAC) Project from Commodore Arun Nayyar.

Commodore Ashokan, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakvasla, and Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington has specialised in Hydrography. He held various important appointments both ashore and afloat, an official release said here today.

Commodore Ashokan had commanded Indian Naval Ships Sarvekshak, Sandhayak and Nirupak and also served as Group Commander Ernakulam NCC group and Commander, Project Seabird, Karwar. He was a recipient of the Nao Sena Medal for devotion to duty, the release added.
