Army chief visits Yol cantonment

Chandigarh, July 16 (UNI) The Chief of the Army Staff, General J J Singh today arrived at the Yol Cantonment, Corps Headquarters on a two-day visit.

He was accompanied by Mrs Anupama Singh, President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) and was received by the Corps Commander, Lt Gen P K Rampal.

Lt Gen Rampal briefed Gen Singh about the Operational and administrative aspects.

Gen Singh also interacted with the officers of the Corps Headquarters and Units on the issues of current relevance, and visited the Rising Star Museum, which houses parapheniha of the state martyrs.

Gen Singh complimented all the ranks of the Corps for achieving high professional standards and also for transforming Yol Cantt into a pleasant and eminently habitable military station within a short span of ten months.
