AP Govt following anti-people policies: TNTUC

Vijayawada, July 16 (UNI) Telugu Nadu Trade Union Council (TNTUC) State President P Satish Kumar today flayed the Andhra Pradesh Government for its 'anti-people' policies.

Addressing a trade union activists meeting here, Mr Kumar charged Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy with his alleged failure in abiding by poll promises he made in the run upto the 2004 Assembly elections.

Alleging the government had failed to provide five lakh jobs to unemployed youth as per the election manifesto, he said not even a single vacant post in government departments was filled.

Mr Kumar alleged the government was bent on abolishing the SC and ST corporations and added that steps were not taken to check the price hike of essential commodities.

He called upon the TNTUC activists to fight against the 'anti-labour' policies of the government.
