4 fishermen reported missing off TN coast

Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, July 16 (UNI) Four fishermen, who ventured into the sea yesterday, were reported missing, police said.

Police said Pawnraj and three others ventured into the sea from the fishing harbour by a mechanised boat at around 0600 hrs. They were expected to return to the shore this morning.

After waiting till afternoon, the family members of the fishermen reported the matter to the local police, who registered a case.

Meanwhile, a group of local fishermen went into the sea today to search for their missing colleagues, police added.
