2.25 lakh works under Jalabhishek Abhiyan completed

Bhopal, July 16 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government has completed 2.25 lakh works at a cost of Rs 1,105.99 crore works under the Jalabhishek Abhiyan aimed at water conservation.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is reviewing and monitoring the campaign launched a few months back, as per official information.

Under the Jalabhishek Abhiyan, about 5.16 lakh works were sanctioned for all the 48 districts. An amount of Rs 2,656.45 crore was sanctioned for the purpose.

A total of 3.48 lakh works were taken up. During the campaign, a sum of Rs 93.53 crore was collected through people's cooperation.
