Wakankar award for archaeologist Gupta

Bhopal, July 15(UNI) Noted archaeologist and Indian Archaeology Council President Dr Swaraj Prakash Gupta has been selected for the first Dr Vishnu Shridhar Wakankar award instituted by the Madhya Pradesh government for his outstanding contribution in the preservation of archaeology.

The award carries Rs 1 lakh in cash and a citation.

Senior BJP leader L K Advani will present the award at a function at the state museum here tomorrow.
