Suzuki Motor Corpn on expansion drive
Kozhikode, Jul 15 (UNI) Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Japan's automobile giant Suzuki Motor Corporation is poised to expand its network by opening up more dealerships in the country.
Talking to newspersons after inaugurating an exclusive showroom, the third in Kerala here last night SMIPL Area Joint Managing Director Shigeru Matsuda said the company proposed to open two more dealerships in the state in Thiruvanthapuram and Alazppuzha -- soon.
The company has got tremendous response for its products Heat and Zeus, both 125 cc from its 76 outlets in the country, including that of Palakkad and Cochin and would strive to give perfect customer satisfaction, he said.
Heat and Zeus, which carried price tags of Rs 39,712 and Rs 44,595, respectively and expected to give an average 70 kmph, have been manufactured in the country except certain parts which have been imported diretly from Suzuki, Japan, he said.
While Heat is targeted towards excessive bike users who want a strong robust and reliable product, Zeus is meant for young college students and executives, who prefer contemporary styling clubbed with excellent performance.
The new motor cycles have been developed after extensive market research and it will reinforce the commitment and support from the parent company, he said.
He said the company had made it a point to make available to customers through dealers expert after sale service by engineers trained at its headquarters at Manesar in Haryana.
