President Kalam to visit blast sites, injured on July 17

Mumbai, July 15 (UNI) President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam is likely to visit some of the sites of serial train blasts and call on the injured being treated at different hospitals during his two-day visit to Mumbai beginning July 17.

State protocol department sources said the President may visit the blast site and the injured on July 17 itself soon after his arrival.

''We are waiting for a final schedule of his tour from Rashtrapati Bhavan,'' sources said.

Dr Kalam is visiting Mumbai to inaugurate the 150th anniversary of Mumbai University on July 18 and also to launch the centenary celebrations of Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC) at the NCPA on the same day.

He will visit the Asian Heart Institute at Bandra later in the evening.

The President will interact with scientists at the BARC on July 17.
