NPF denies NSCN-K allegation of Chief Minsister's secuirty staff
Kohima, Jul 15 (UNI) Nagaland People's Front (NPF), a major coalition partner of ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), today refuted an allegation of NSCN(K) that its rival NSCN-IM cadres were employed as security guards to Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
NPF Press Secretary R Paphino told a press conference today that the allegation was motivated and designed to malign the Chief Minister and his government.
While condemning the allegation, he said such attempt was to vitiate the efforts of the government to maintain peace in the state.
He said the state police had undoubtable ability to tackle any eventuality and were capable enough to protect and defend its citizens.
Mr Paphino said it was unfortunate that an organisation, which claimed to be championing the cause of the people, was issuing such derogatory statement against groups as well as the government.
