Mudibidre records 31 cm rain
Bangalore, July 15 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.
Heavy Rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at a few places with isolated very heavy falls over Coastal Karnataka during next 48 hours. Heavy rain may also occur at isolated places over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during the same period.
Monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Mudibidre recorded exceptionally very heavy rainfall of 31 cms.
Very Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Karkala 13.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Agumbe 12; Belthangadi 11; Mani 10; Bantwal 9; Dharmasthala, Subramanya 8 each; Sulya, Madikeri 7 each.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mangalore AP, Puttur, Mudigere, Kammardi 6 each; Kollur, Kalasa, Lakkavalli 5 each; Mulki, Kota, Siddapura (both Udupi dt), Panambur, Udupi, Gerusoppa, Kumta, Kadra, Sringeri, Koppa, Talaguppa 4 each.
Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Forecast for Farmers: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, and Shimoga districts of South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over Belgaum, Haveri, Dharwad districts of North Interior Karnataka and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Gadag Bagalkote districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka.
Forecast for Bangalore: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of light rain.
