Internal security in peril: Jaiswal

Pratapgarh, UP, July 15 (UNI) Union minister of state for home Sriprakash Jaiswal today said the country's internal security was in peril following the Mumbai serial blasts.

''It is high time to give equal importance to internal security along with external security,'' Mr Jaiswal said addressing a gathering here.

He said terrorists were inventing newer tactics to spread terror. ''To counter the anti-national elements and terrorists, the government also needs to match them in technology,'' he stated.

The union minister was here in connection with the 56th birthday function of Congress legislative party leader in Uttar Pradesh assembly Pramod Tiwari.
