Health Minister to open paediatric cardiac centre

Kozhikode, Jul 15 (UNI) Kerala Health Minister P K Sreemathi will inaugurate a Children's Heart Centre (CHC), the a wing of the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), here tomorrow.

Renowned cardiac surgeon Dr K M Cherian would deliver the keynote address, MIMS chairman Dr Azad Moopen told reporters here today.

The First of its kind in northern Kerala, the CHC would give much relief to parents who were compelled to go outside the state for the treatment of their children, he said.

The function will be followed by an academic programme to be attended by eminent progressions in the field, he added.
