Gujarat Alkalies Q1 net down 32.65 pc

Mumbai, July 15: Gujarat Alkalies&Chemicals Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 42.57 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 63.21 crore in the same period last year, showing a decline of 32.65 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased to Rs 247.43 crore for Q1 FY 06-07 from Rs 247.08 crore in Q1 FY 05-06.
