Extended working committee meet of Mah cong on July 22

Mumbai, July 15: The Western Railway (WR) today disbursed cheques to 42 families whose kin were killed in the serial bomb blasts in the metropolis on July 11.

Western Railway spokesperson Bhagwat Dahisarkar said the railway had already disbursed Rs 15,000 to the kin of the deceased as ex-gratia and the remaining amount of Rs 4.85 lakh was disbursed this afternoon.

He said cheques were also handed over to family members of the 17 railway employees killed in the blasts.

As many as 183 people were killed and 714 injured in the seven blasts in suburban trains.
