'Ending sadness of people of Uttaranchal is my task': Ravi Shankar

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today appointed Mr Ravishankar Prasad to handle the affairs of Uttaranchal state going to polls in another year's time.

Mr Prasad, a former Law and Company Affairs Minister, said he was happy about his new responsibility.

Uttaranchal is considered the 'Land of Gods', but of late people of this newly created state were very unhappy. "It would be my task to make these sad people happy", he told newspersons about his new appointment.
