Depor's Valeron to return from six-month injury layoff

MADRID, July 15 (Reuters) Deportivo Coruna's Juan Carlos Valeron was given the all clear by team doctors today after six months out with a knee injury.

''Valeron has been passed fit and we hope we don't see him again because this would mean he hasn't had any further problems,'' team doctor Cesar Cobian told the club's website.

The 31-year-old Spain international tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee during Depor's 2-2 draw with Real Mallorca in the Primera Liga in January.

Although the playmaker was dropped from Luis Aragones's Spain squads last year, he had been widely tipped to make a return in the run up to the World Cup finals in Germany.

He has won 46 caps and played in the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004.
