CPI(ML) to march in Parliament on Aug 17 to protest Ind policy
Barrackpore, Jul 15 (UNI) The CPI(M-L) today announced to launch a fortnight-long movement with a march to Parliament on August 17 to protest the Union government as well as the West Bengal government's industrial policy.
CPI (M-L) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya told a news conference at Naihati in North 24 Pargana that the movement would start from August five.
Mr Bhattacharya criticised the Left Front government and the UPA ministry at the Centre for leaning towards business tycoons like Salim group of Indonesia, Ambanis and Tatas for industries by grabbing land from common farmers. " The industriral policy of the government is inhuman", he said.
He said the Centre's policy of setting up of about 150 special economic zones throughout the country would only pave the ways for drain of country's wealth. "It's planned exploitation of the farmers and the agricultural land in the name of development of Industry", Mr Bhattacharya maintained.
