Bendangmangyang is new Naga Hoho President

Kohima, July 15 (UNI) Naga Hoho, the apex body of all Naga tribes, has unanimously elected Mr Bendangmangyang as its new President.

According to Hoho sources during a marathon meeting held here yersterday at the Federal Assembly, Mr Bendangmangyang, former President of Ao Senden (Hoho), was elected as per recommendation of the Search Committee.

The Federal Assembly also resolved to support the ongoing peace process and urged both the NSCN factions to continue their respective cease-fire agreement with the Centre.

The Naga Hoho Federal Assembly also reiterated its support for integration of all Naga inhabited areas.

The post of president of Naga Hoho fell vacant since the death of Horangse Sangtam in Bangkok early this year.
