B'Desh team to tour Chennai as part of SAF Games preparation
Chennai, Jul 15 (UNI) The Bangladeshi volleyball team will visit Chennai from tomorrow to July 21 to play a few training matches with the best club teams as part of its preparations for the South Asian Federation (SAF) Games to be held next month in Sri Lanka.
According to Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) Secretary General K Murugan, the Bangla team will play against TN police, SDAT (SHE), ICF and Indian Bank. It will play two matches against SDAT.
All the matches will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru indoor stadium which was built for the SAF Games which Chennai hosted in 1992.
The SAF Games are scheduled to be held in Colombo from August 19 to 28.
The visit is also part of the activities of FIVB Regional Development Centre here.Asian Volleyball Confederation Executive Vice President Dr B Sivanthi Adityan will be hosting the visit.
