BCCI Working Committee to review Champions Trophy preparation

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Buoyed after Australia dispelled any fears of a pull out and assured their unflinching support for the ICC Champions Trophy despite the serial blasts in Mumbai, the BCCI Working Committee meets here tomorrow to review the preparation for the elite cricket tournament slated for October-November.

Apart from considering and ratifying a number of committee reports, the BCCI Working Committee will discuss the preparation for the Champions Trophy, hoping to make it a smooth affair.

The meeting will also see the Working Committee taking note of its correspondence with the Jagmohan Dalmiya-led Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) regarding the World Cup 1996 accounts. The issue has seen the present BCCI top brass at loggerheads with Mr Dalmiya, the then Board President.

The Working Committee will approve the domestic programme 2006-07 tomorrow, besides giving its nod for the appointment of management staff on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.

BCCI, meanwhile, has come up with the idea of setting up a museum and the issue will come up for discussion tomorrow. The Working Commitee will also consider allocation of funds for the purpose.

The committee will also consider recommendations of the Kapil Dev Report, its Headquarters Committee and also reports and recommendations of its finance, marketing, tour and fixtures and technical committees, besides the Umpires Sub-Committee.
