Bajaj net up 27 per cent in Q1 FY07
New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Bajaj Auto today posted a 27 per cent rise in its profit after tax at Rs 260 crore in the first quarter of 2006-07, with its motorcycle sales moving up by 34 per cent higher than the industry growth of 24 per cent.
Bajaj's unconsolidated PAT stood at Rs 266 crore in Q1 FY07 as against Rs 209 crore in Q1 FY06.
Company's turnover went up by 33 per cent at Rs 2,300 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2006. The unconsolidated figures of the company showed a turnover of Rs 2297.2 crore in Q1 2006-07 as against Rs 1726.9 crore in Q1 2005-06.
Bajaj Auto's total sales increased by 28 per cent by 647,094 units in Q1 2006-07 as compared to 505,524 units in Q1 2005-06.
