Bajaj Auto Q1 net up 28 pc to Rs 266 crore

Mumbai, July 15 (UNI) Bajaj Auto Ltd has posted a 28 per cent rise in the net profit for the quarter ended June 31, 2006 at Rs 266.01 crore as compared to Rs 207.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06).

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1726.93 crore in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 2297.22 crore for Q1 FY 06-07.

The Group has posted an Income attributable to consolidated group of Rs 255.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 230.15 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Net Sales has increased to Rs 2294.28 crore for Q1 FY 06-07 from Rs 1755.83 crore in Q1 FY 05-06.
