Airport police arrest 9 women for false document

Chennai, July 15: Nine women, including eight from Andhra Pradesh, who attempted to fly to Dubai and Kuwait by producing fabricated travel documents at Anna International Airport here were arrested by the Airport police today.

The arrested were identified as Chennamma (34) Radha (24), Sulochana (28) of Kadapa district, Pokka Kumari (29), Venkata Ramani (22), Mangala (28), Lakhsmi (26) of West Godavari district, Venkata Subbamma (26) of Nellore district and Sahaya Rani (24) of Mannargudi of Tamil Nadu, police said.

During verification by the immigration authorities, it was found that all the women had produced fabricated 'No Objection Certificates.' They were were remanded to judicial custody.
