6 die in house collapse

Hardoi, July 15 (UNI) Six members of a family died and one was seriously injured when their house collapsed here in Khamaria village under Madhoganj police station here early today.

The victims included Ramdas (45),his wife Kusumavati (42) and four minor children- Rajbahadur (12), Satish (9), Pushpendra (5), and Chote (3 months). Their bodies were found buried under the debris while his another daughter Anita had been admitted to the hospital in serious condition, the official sources said.

According to the sources, 18 persons have so far been killed in lightning and house collapse incidents since last week.

Meanwhile, the heavy rainfall which has lashed almost the entire Uttar Pradesh since Saturday's posing problems for the people specially due to heavy load shedding and disruption in telecom services in the distrcit also. Many areas are facing problem of water logging.
