Woods signs up for return to Shanghai

BEIJING, July 14 (Reuters) World number one Tiger Woods will return to China for the million Champions Tournament in November, organisers said today.

American Woods finished second behind Briton David Howell at the Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai last year and is keen to have another crack at Asia's richest tournament from Nov. 9-12.

''It's a title I really want to win -- especially after chasing David so hard last year and coming so close,'' a statement quoted Woods as saying. ''All the players appreciated the fantastic reception from the Chinese golf fans and the atmosphere was amazing all week.'' REUTERS PM ND1408
